The drive to Viscri takes about 1 hour and a bit.
Explore the fortified church of Viscri, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best-preserved fortified churches in Transylvania. The church dates back to the 12th century and features Gothic architectural elements that will leave you in awe. Climb to the top of the church's tower for a breathtaking view of the village and surrounding countryside.
Viscri is also known for its traditional crafts, where you can find many local artisans selling their wares in the village.
Next stop, Sighisoara
You cannot explore the charming and historic town of Sighisoara on an empty stomach. So we’ll start the tour with a lunch break. There are more than a dozen good restaurants in the old town. We highly recommend the restaurant Casa Vlad Dracul not just for good, hearty food but come on, how often do you get the chance to eat in the house where Vlad the Impaler a.k.a. Dracula was born?
A must-see attraction is the Clock Tower, the symbol of the city, with its impressive clock mechanism. Climb to the top of the tower for a breathtaking bird's eye view of the citadel.
Sighisoara's covered stairs are a unique feature of the medieval town. The steep, narrow staircases are covered by wooden roofs and connect the upper and lower parts of the citadel. They are also a great spot for photography.
On the highest point of the fortress, visit the Hill Church. Its original catholic paintings were recently restored after being covered in the 16th century during the reformation
Return to Brasov around 7 - 8 PM
